School & Community Programme

Our Schools and Community programme is an opportunity for us to talk to local children and groups about the role of the RSPCA, our work at the Centre on Abbey Street and the role of the RSPCA inspectors.

Our aim is to highlight the importance of 'responsible pet ownership' and educate people about how to look after their pets and offer support and guidance.

If you would like a member of our team to visit your school or group, please call or email Victoria Leeming on 01332 344620 e: igm@rspcaderby.org.uk

Fundraising and Events

Throughout the year we organise various events to help with our fundraising - it costs £7,000 per week to run our Animal Centre. We always hope to make these events a fun day for you, your family and friends. So, please come along and join in to help us raise funds for the animals in our care.

For our events to be successful we need help in the following ways:

• Donated Raffle/Tombola prizes

• Volunteers to help organise, promote and run the events.

If you would like to organise an event on our behalf, then we would be very happy to hear from you.  Why not do an individual sponsored event for us by going onto our Derby RSPCA Just Giving Page or if you prefer contact the branch and we will send you a Fundraising Pack.  We will be very happy to publicise your efforts on our website, in our Animal Centre and Charity Shops in Belper and Long Eaton.  .

You may want to organise a coffee, cake or tea morning, pub quiz, raffle, street collection or an open garden event – you can be as creative as you wish.  Alternatively, you can help by representing us at other events such as your school, church or local pub fete.

If you think you may be able to help us or if you need any support with your event, then contact Victoria Leeming via email at igm@rspcaderby.org.uk or on 01332 344620 or call into the Centre on Abbey Street, Derby.
