Postal donations
We’re excited to announce that you can now donate your unwanted items (up to 10kg) in the post…. for free! Whether it’s clothes, books, toys or homeware, simply pack it up, print off your postage label and pop it in the post to us, how great is that?!
We know it can be hard to find the time to drop off any unwanted items, or maybe you work full time and want to donate but you just can’t get to one of our charity shops in time. Well, this is the perfect solution! Carry on reading to find out how it works and how to get your FREE postage label in an instant!
What is it?
We’re working with ClickSit to help our supporters donate their unwanted goods to our charity shops in the Derby area. We need your donations to help us continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the countless animals who need us every year.
ClickSit postal donations won’t cost you a penny! You can box up your items in your own time and post when you like from your local Collect+ store. Hey presto – it’s that easy!
This brand-new service is the perfect way to support us, by helping us stock our charity shops and online store – raising the vital funds we need in order to keep our Abbey Street Animal Centre open.
How do I send my items?
First of all, you’ll need to get your free post label by clicking the link below and entering your email address. You’ll then be emailed your label which will need to be printed and attached to your package. Next, grab a box/package (maximum dimensions: height 60cm, width 50cm, depth 50cm) and fill it to a maximum weight of 10kg.
Where do I take my package?
To send your donation box, simply find your local Collect+ store, drop your package off, and wait to receive a notification from us that it has been received. Please remember to package your items appropriately – sadly, we can’t take responsibility for the condition the boxes arrive in should anything break. There are currently 7500 Collect+ store locations across the UK, find your closest drop-off point using the link below.

What can I post?
We are truly grateful for all of your donations to help us raise vital funds for animals in need, see below a list a of what we can and can’t accept to help you sort your items before sending:
We accept:
– Quality clothes, bags, shoes & accessories
– Bric-a-brac
– Toys/Games/Books/DVDs/CDs/Working Electricals
– Toiletry Sets
– Working laptops/mobiles
We can’t accept:
– Weapons
– Toys without a CE Mark
– Animal fur/ivory or any such product
– Used toiletries
Please also make sure that any items sent to us are in good, complete and working condition so that we can re-sell them. We're unable to sell items below this quality and would advise you dispose of them with your local council.
Gift Aid your donations
To Gift Aid your donation and help raise more funds at no cost to you, please click on the link below, print and complete the Gift Aid form, and include it in your parcel. If you have already signed a form with our charity, please include your gift aid number or name and address.
