Petplan Insurance

Petplan Insurance

As a rehoming centre we want all our animals to have the best care that they can possibly have once they have left us for their new home.  So with every adoption of a dog, cat or rabbit we issue the adopter a 4 week free Pet Plan Cover for Life policy.

We highly recommend all pet owners purchase pet insurance as you never know when illness or injury will strike. Vet bills for operations or for long-term care can be very costly. With insurance all you need to pay is your monthly fee and, if you need to make a claim, the excess agreed when you take out the policy.

It's important to correctly research pet insurance, as there are so many options for you to consider.  Each policy can offer differing levels of cover and amounts of money that they will pay out to per year.  Always look for a Cover for Life policy over a yearly policy to make sure that an illness or injury is covered for the life of your animal and not just the 1st year.  Covered for Life policies are the most comprehensive around.

Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered by any insurance and some insurance companies will not insure older dogs and cats.  Pet plan will cover any animal rehomed through the RSPCA Abbey Street Animal Rehoming Centre.

Pet insurance can be a bit of a minefield but with a little bit of research you will be able to find the perfect policy for you and your new addition to the family.

Pet Insurance can offer you peace of mind in the event of an unexpectedly large Vet bill as you know your animal’s medical needs will be covered.
