Meet Angel

She is a 4-year-old Chihuahua with a big heart and a quiet strength. She came into our care when her previous owner could no longer meet her needs, and just a week later, this tiny girl needed emergency help herself.

Angel was heavily pregnant when she arrived, and after a dramatic labour and support from our amazing vets, her four beautiful puppies were born. Thanks to the outpouring of support from our community, we raised the money needed to fund her care.

Despite the ordeal, she proved to be an amazing mum and raised four fantastic puppies, who are now almost ready to find homes of their own. Now that her parenting days are behind her, it’s Angel’s turn to be the one being cared for, and she’s so ready to start a new life full of love and stability.

🏡 A quiet, calm home where she can relax and feel safe
💞 Needs company - she loves being with her favourite people
🧠 Can be a little shy at first, but offer her a bit of cheese and she’ll be your best friend
❤️ Loves food, cuddles, and being someone’s little shadow

Angel hasn’t had much socialisation in the past, so she’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she’ll be given the time and reassurance she needs to settle. She may be small, but she’s come through so much, and she’s got so much love to give.

She will be ready to go home in two weeks - we cannot hold her for holidays or other commitments
We rehome within a reasonable distance of Derby
She has already been neutered
She will need to return to us for 2nd vaccination (6–12 Aug), or you’ll have to pay for it at your own vet
