Meet Lady T

She's a 2-year-old Dachshund/Jack Russell cross who can be quite worried by the world around her. New people and unfamiliar situations are unsettling for her, and she can find it stressful when people come into her space or approach her unexpectedly. These are things we've been working on with her, and her new family will need to be committed to continuing that work at home.

With the people she's come to trust, she's playful, loving, and a real joy to spend time with. It has taken time and patience to get there, but seeing her come out of her shell with our team has been really lovely. We think after a couple of meets with the right person, she'll start to show them that side of her too, but you'll need to be prepared to take things slowly and let her set the pace.

Both of her breeds are working dogs at heart, which means Lady T has a big brain that loves to be kept busy. She'd absolutely thrive with training, brain games, and having little jobs to do, and with her positive reward drive, we think she has enormous potential.

Lady T needs a patient, experienced home with someone who understands that building trust takes time, and who is willing to support her every step of the way.
