Vesper fetches herself a new home

Early one morning, one of our team members noticed that a cat carrier had been left on our doorstep. We do often get items donated so it wasn't entirely unusual, except for the time of day. When we opened up the carrier however, there were a pair of big green eyes staring back! Poor Vesper had been abandoned and she was very scared indeed.

After her evaluation period she was still very nervous, so one of our amazing cat fosterers took Vesper home so that she could have a nice calm environment to settle into. This really helped Vesper and when she came back into the rescue to be rehomed, she was like a different cat! She loved cuddles and attention and would make us feel guilty when we had to leave her attend to the other animals.

Happily, she was quickly adopted and her new family sent us some lovely photos and videos of her settling into her new home. One video in particular caught our eye, as it showed a rare skill for a cat, Vesper (now named Nyx) playing fetch!

We love to get updates from the families of our animals, seeing them thriving in their new homes really warms our hearts and makes us proud of the work we do to get them there.
