Meet Reggie

He's a 5-year-old Wire Haired Standard Dachshund who came into our care when his previous owner's circumstances changed. It's clear he was very much loved, once Reggie knows you, he gives you his whole heart.

He can be a little shy when he first meets new people, but once that trust is there he's an absolute gem. He's looking for someone to potter about with, go on good adventures with, and then settle down on the sofa next to you for a well-earned snooze.

Reggie was attacked by another dog when he was just 6 months old, and as a result he'd much rather give other dogs a wide berth, which he generally does very sensibly on walks. He walks beautifully on a lead and tends to simply ignore other dogs, people, and traffic, which makes him a really lovely boy to get out and about with.

🐱 Cannot live with cats
🐶 Cannot live with other dogs
🏡 Needs an active but calm home, ideally with some understanding of the Dachshund breed
💞 Can be left for short periods
🧠 Shy at first but gives his whole heart once he knows you
❤️ Loves playing ball, getting his nose to the ground for a good sniff, and curling up on the sofa
